I'm Tim, and creativity is more than just what I do. It's who I am.

By day, that means storytelling and marketing solutions that turn heads and drive ROI. By night, I experiment with pop art, comics, and interactive artwork. (Also cocktails.) If you need help thinking outside the box you've come to the right place!

I've done it all over the course of my career. As a result, if you have a marketing or creative need I have the tools to help. And because I’m a one-man shop you never get billed for status meetings or administrative nonsense. You pay for the work. That’s it.

Love my style but feel like you have a job thtat's too big or on too tight of a deadline one guy? No problem. I have a deep network of help to call on.

Some of the organizations I've worked for and with over the course of my career include: Harley-Davidson, Target, Rebellion/2000AD, Apple, Marvel Comics, Cartoon Network, Sony, Disney and Audible.

If you need someone to help you solve a challenge that no one else can or invent something somewhat crazy, then by all means; let's talk about how I can help!

Marketing Consulting

Everyone thinks they're a marketing expert but if you're reading this I bet you've discovered that isn't actually true. I am available to help solve one-off head-scratchers or for holistic marketing plans that will solve ALL your problems.

I have extensive experience in brand building, budgeting, paid media planning (traditional and digital), e-commerce, website architecture, social media, paid and organic search, and SEO. I have done it all and more over the course of my 25 years of experience.

“Innovative and fearless, Tim finds and vets what's next in digital marketing for the organizations he serves, then accelerates adoption of processes and channels that best serve the strategy and objectives. He's funny, high touch, and is a builder... of teams, markets, relationships, and content.

GRAPHIC DESIGN AND CREATIVE SERVICES

Do you want your business to look cool? Of course you do. Then hire me for your graphic design or commercial art needs.

I specialize in logo design and brand identity as well as web design for small businesses and fellow creatives. I would love to build you a Wix website, just like this one, on a creator's budget, and am available for ongoing maintenance. I am also available for technical illustration, character and icon design, spot illustration, and storyboarding.

If your agency or in-house team is underwater, I also offer production services for labor-intensive graphics projects if you need a helping hand. I am particularly efficient with Photoshop and Illustrator work.

"We were putting the finishing touches on the launch of a new consumer product backed by Harley-Davidson. Tim took technical and dry source material and crafted realistic but engaging product representations in multiple file formats that fit well with our aesthetic while still conveying critical information to our customers." - Joe Powell – Operations Manager

ART, COMICS.

OTHER FUN STUFF.

By night, I shed my mild-mannered marketing mask and become, THE AVENGING ARTIST, THE ILLUSTRATIN’ ICON, THE TERRIFIC TINKERER: TIM DEMETER. This is MY time for comics, zines, printmaking, animation, interactive art, and other any assorted creative weirdness that captures my fancy. If you'd like to have some art of your very own I am available for comissions! You can check out some of my comissions in this gallery and if you've got a project in mind give me a shout!

Here are a few of my on-going projects as well as some of my all-time favorites.

Current Projects:

Risography Printing

My friends at BearBear run a regular Risographry printing  basics class that I took on a bit of a whim. I loved the process and sold a print online before I even left the class so I thought I’d do more to supplement the digital prints I was already selling at comicons. The collage work was new to me and big part of the fun.

50 MCU Characters on Bar Coasters On TikTok

My wife and I were at Public Brewing in Kenosha and I drew a picture of Daredevil on a blank coaster with the markers at the bar and everyone was like cooooool! I thought it might be a fun idea for a timelapse TikTok channel. Also: quick, loose drawings are good for the soul.

Rustpunks

Rustpunks was inspired by online news pieces that utilize html5 animation to add visual elements to a written piece. (And by my love of WI State Fair.) I wanted to create an interactive story where the animated elements didn’t just come off like a low-budget cartoon but added something to the visual storytelling.

(It's kinda both.)

Reckless Life

Reckless Life is a webcomic I wrote and illustrated between 2002 and 2007, following a jewel thief named Locke and his often zany, sometimes melodramatic, adventures in a ruined future Las Vegas. All  380-plus pages of Reckless Life is presented here completely free and in its unedited entirety. It is raw and imperfect but sometimes great and certainly a great point of artistic pride. I hope you enjoy reading it. I certainly loved making it.

Drink and Draw Social Club

Originally founded in Los Angeles by Dave Johnson, Dan Panosian, and Jeff Johnson in the early aughts, the Drink and Draw Social Club is, as I like to say, exactly what it sounds like. After discovering what the Founding Fathers were onto my friend Terry Haller and I decided to start our own chapter in 2007. (With the blessing of the OG members, of course.) We are now the third-oldest officially sanctioned DDSC chapter in existence. All these years later there are now hundreds if not thousands of drink and draw chapters all over creation, including MKE DDSC’s new little sister, Racine + Kenosha Drink and Draw Social Club. (R+K DDSC)

You can check out some of my DDSC work or slam those buttons to join one of the groups. We'd love to see you!

Welcome to the Cocktail Footer

Oh, hello there and welcome to the cocktail footer. I'm sure after all of that scrolling you could use a drink. Well, good news, when I'm not coming up with marketing plans that kick ass or making awesome art I like to fix a cocktail in my basement bar. Here you'll find a seasonally rotating recipe of some of my own creations, my spins on the classics or more obscure potables. Call it a thank you for checking out my work.
